Oakville Blades Win the Buckland Cup

The Oakville Blades won the Buckland Cup this week, sweeping the defending champs the Wellington Dukes. The Buckland Cup is awarded to the winner of the Ontario Junior Hockey League.

It was a great year for the Blades as they were continually ranked in the top 5 in Canada.

Next up is the Dudley Hewitt Cup, held this year in Cochrane, Ontario. If they can win Ontario, they would then play for the National Championship.

Congratulations to all the players and to the coaching staff. It’s been a pleasure to be able to train these boys all season.
